Knitting on a crosstrainer
ICS feels very lucky with thousands of loyal donors. One of those donors is ms. Van Oosten-Faas (76) from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. While sitting on her crosstrainer she knits piles of socks for children and adults in all kinds of colours. Next to knitting she also likes to make booklets and postcards. About three times a year she sells her DIY presents at Christmas, Easter and Summer markets at the care home where she lives. The income, that varies from 100 euros up to 300 euros, she donates completely to ICS. A beautiful initiative that we are very grateful for!
Would you also like to commit yourself to ICS and make a difference for families in Kenya, Tanzania and Cambodia? Then contribute something, just like ms. Van Oosten-Faas. You are not that kind of knitter or creative? Maybe organising a flea market is more your thing, or a sponsored run or theme party. Take a look at Ways to help for more inspiration and ideas. Keep us posted on your plans. When you send us an e-mail via contact@ics.nl we are able to announce your idea in the next issue of the Dutch newsletter.
